General and Restorative Dentistry: Preserving Your Oral Health
Everyone knows that they should be brushing and flossing twice daily for optimum oral health. But did you know that you need to have your teeth cleaned and checked semi-annually, too? Regular check-ups include a cleaning and periodontal exam as well as x-rays to determine if there are trouble spots in your teeth. Our north Spokane office can schedule your visit and start your journey to a beautiful, healthy smile today!
Digital Imaging That You Can See
Schedule Your Appointment
At 5 Mile Smiles, we use intra-oral cameras and digital x-rays with Logicon software to diagnose decay and cavities. Once the imaging is complete, you can look at your teeth with the dentist on a 28 inch screen! Our Spokane dentist will explain the imaging to you, and you can ask any questions you might have about your diagnosis or treatment. If there are any areas of decay, a graphic overlay of your x-rays will help you see the depth and severity of the cavity. Together, we will determine a treatment plan that suits your needs!
What Happens if I Have a Cavity?
Cavities can occur in any tooth, even ones that have previously been filled. Whether you have a new cavity or an old filling that needs to be replaced, you need to take action quickly in order to keep your teeth healthy. At 5 Mile Smiles, we can usually treat your cavities in one visit, using composite fillings that match your natural enamel color. You’ll be able to smile with confidence without anyone knowing you had dental work done!
Managing Tooth Pain
If you have severe pain and suspect that you need a root canal or crown, call our North Spokane office and schedule your emergency appointment. With Dr. Keefe’s experience and 5 Mile’s cutting edge technology, we can most likely fix your problem tooth that day using CEREC technology for same day crowns!
Can You Treat My Children?
At 5 Mile Smiles, we are your whole family’s dentist. Even young children need to have their teeth checked. We recommend “happy visits” beginning between 12-24 months. This helps make sure your child’s teeth are healthy, and teaches him that dental appointments are routine, helpful, and not something to fear!
Mouth Guards for Night-time and Athletics
If you clench and grind your teeth while you sleep, you could be wearing down your teeth. Protect the longevity of your smile and prevent complications with our custom Night Guards. If you or your child play sports, we also offer Athletic Mouth Guards to insure against accidents and concussions.
Bridging the Gap
Does your smile have gaps caused by a lost tooth? Even one missing tooth can negatively impact your oral health, bite stability, tooth position, and even your bodily health. Fixed bridgework by 5 Mile Smiles can correct the gap left by one or two teeth, providing a stable, durable bite surface.
Implant Supported Dentures
If many or all your teeth are missing, you may need to have dentures. Without a denture, your facial muscles will sag and your nutrition and health will suffer. A full or partial denture will let you eat, talk, and smile beautifully again. At 5 Mile Smiles, we use digital imaging instead of goopy impressions to create a custom fitted denture for you.
